Abstract

Entrepreneurship training is one of the key strategies to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs in the creative economy sector. The fashion industry is one of the most promising subsectors that contributes significantly to business growth and job creation in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the implementation of entrepreneurship training in the fashion field at the LINAD Training and Course Institute (LPK LINAD) in Depok City and to analyze the factors influencing participants’ motivation to start a business after completing the training. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving administrators, instructors, trainees, and alumni. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship training at LPK LINAD focuses on developing technical fashion skills such as sewing and design, as well as building an entrepreneurial mindset. The main motivational factors for participants to start a business include the desire for economic independence, social support, and the growing opportunities in the fashion market. Conversely, the inhibiting factors consist of limited capital, lack of post-training mentoring, and insufficient access to digital markets. The study concludes that entrepreneurship training at LPK LINAD plays an important role in enhancing participants’ readiness to engage in entrepreneurial activities, yet it requires further strengthening through mentoring programs and business networking opportunities. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for training institutions and policymakers in developing more sustainable entrepreneurship training programs
